Screen Update Rate

This value sets the iteration interval at which screen updates occur during the training process. The optimal update rate to use for monitoring training activity depends on network size, the number of training patterns and the speed of the computer. One screen update every few seconds is normally adequate. If screen updates occur more frequently, execution speeds will be adversely affected. If the update is too seldom, then network monitoring (including calculations for test set RMS error, correlation and tolerance) cannot be performed at the necessary rate.
