Q: What problems can I solve with Qnet neural network software?

A: Neural networks can be applied to a nearly infinite array of problems. They have been used to make advances in traditional AI fields such as visual and speech recognition. In addition, scientists and engineers now routinely use neural networks to model and predict complex phenomena. Oil companies use neural networks to reduce oil exploration costs. Neural networks are being applied to a variety of medical diagnostic problems. Credit issuers use this technology to accurately assess loan credit risks. Manufacturers are improving product quality and manufacturing techniques. Marketing specialists are developing models to accurately target customers to products. Financial traders have generated huge profits by incorporating neural networks into their investing and trading decision processes.

The variety of problems to which neural networks are being applied is continuing to explode. Predictive models can be created for virtually any process or phenomena that exhibits patterns of behavior, even if these patterns are not readily discernible. (top)

Q: Is Qnet powerful enough to handle real-world  problems?

A: Qnet is an advanced neural network modeling system designed to take advantage of today's more powerful PC hardware and operating systems. Qnet's advanced features and power make it ideal for tackling tough, real-world problems. There are no software size limits placed on your Qnet models. Only hardware memory and computing speed limit model size.

Qnet's highly optimized training engine allows training speeds to soar while maintaining full 32-bit computational accuracy. Qnet is fully compatible with all current Windows OS'.

New to Qnet 2000 is the ability train and maintain literally hundreds of models. Simply open multiple models for training and Qnet will do the rest. It will even optimize them after training based on selected criteria. (top)

Q: Is Qnet easy to use?

A: Qnet has long been praised for its easy to use dialog based setup system. Dialogs prompt you through the network design and training setup procedures. Extensive help is always a click away. To get you started, Qnet includes sample neural network models. Examples cover science and technology, trading analysis and traditional AI pattern recognition. (top)

Q: What neural network technology does Qnet employ?

A: Qnet is a full-featured, backpropagation neural network modeling system. It utilizes supervised training methods and therefor requires a series of inputs and with known results to learn how to respond. (top)

Q: What does Qnet 2000 software include?

A: Qnet is NOT a one dimensional training program like other neural network products. While Qnet includes the powerful Qnet modeling and training engine (features), it also adds plenty of model integration tools. Access Qnet models directly from your spreadsheets with QnetTool. Programmers can choose from an easy to use DLL or build their own Qnet access library with the included C source code. (top)

Q: Can I use Qnet models with VB?

A: Yes. Access your Qnet models with the provided 32-bit DLL from both Visual Basic for Applications and your full blown VB development platform. (top)

Q: What are the limitations of Qnet's trial version?

A: Qnet's trial version gives you access to the Qnet training and modeling package. It is designed to allow you to review the sample models and you can even build and train your own. It gives you a 30 day trial period to determine if the package is adequate for your needs. It does not include the tools to access your models from programming and Windows platforms. (top)

Q: Can I extend Qnet's trial period?

A: Qnet's trial period is limited to 30 days per computer/Windows installation. Your only option is to start a new trial on a different computer. Extensions are not possible for a given computer/Windows installation. (top)

Q: Is there a difference between the Download Edition and the Standard Edition?

A: No. The software you receive is identical. The difference is that the standard version is shipped with software media and a printed version of the PDF manual. The ability to streamline the processing of the "Download Edition" allows us to pass significant savings on to you. (top)

Q: What is the technical support policy?

A: Vesta Services provides free technical support via email for registered users. (top)
